Steps
towards confronting
Matthew 18
15 Moreover
if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between
thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with
thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word
may be established.
17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it
unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as
an heathen man and a publican.
1 Corinthians 5
2 And
ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed
might be taken away from among you.
3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in
spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath
so done this deed,
4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are
gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the
destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord
Jesus.
6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a
little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?
7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may
be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed
for us:
8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old
leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the
unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
9 I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company
with fornicators:
10 Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this
world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must
ye needs go out of the world.
11 But now I have written unto you not to keep
company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or
an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no
not to eat.
12 For what have I to do to judge them also that
are without? do not ye judge them that are within?
13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore
put away from among yourselves that wicked person.
2 Corinthians 2
5 But
if any have caused grief, he hath not grieved me, but in part: that I may not
overcharge you all.
6 Sufficient to such a man is this punishment,
which was inflicted of many.
7 So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive
him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with
overmuch sorrow.
8 Wherefore I beseech you that ye would confirm
your love toward him.
2 Thessalonians 3
14 And
if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no
company with him, that he may be ashamed.
15 Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him
as a brother.

2 Corinthians 7
9 Now
I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for
ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in
nothing.
2 Corinthians 10
2 But
I beseech you, that I may not be bold when I am present with that confidence,
wherewith I think to be bold against some, which think of us as if we walked
according to the flesh.
Affirm all you

2 Corinthians 7
4 Great
is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you: I am filled
with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation.
Be accurate and
honest
2 Corinthians 7
14 For
if I have boasted any thing to him of you, I am not ashamed; but as we spake
all things to you in truth, even so our boasting, which I made before Titus, is
found a truth.

2 Corinthians 11

anyone else dares to boast about--I am speaking as a fool--I also dare to boast
about. Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they

13 Therefore
we were comforted in your comfort: yea, and exceedingly the more joyed we for
the joy of Titus, because his spirit was refreshed by you all.
2 Corinthians 12
14 Behold,
the third time I am ready to come to you; and I will not be burdensome to you:
for I seek not your's but you: for the children ought not to lay up for the
parents, but the parents for the children.

his inward affection is more abundant toward you, whilst he remembereth the
obedience of you all, how with fear and trembling ye received him.
2 Corinthians 13
11 Finally,
brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in
peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
12 Greet one another with an holy kiss.
13 All the saints salute you.
Speak words that
reflect CHRIST message, not your ideas
2 Corinthians 10
3 For
though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
2 Corinthians 10
12 For
we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that
commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing
themselves among themselves, are not wise.
13 But we will not boast of things without our
measure, but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to
us, a measure to reach even unto you.
2 Corinthians 12
19 Again,
think ye that we excuse ourselves unto you? we speak before God in Christ: but
we do all things, dearly beloved, for your edifying.

told you before, and foretell you, as if I were present, the second time; and
being absent now I write to them which heretofore have sinned, and to all
other, that, if I come again, I will not spare:
