WHAT ARE THE WONDERS OF DANIEL 12

Matthew 24

¹⁵   "Therefore when you see the ⁽²⁰⁾ ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in ⁽²¹⁾ the holy place (⁽²²⁾ let the reader understand), ¹⁶   then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains.
¹⁷   "Whoever is on ⁽²³⁾ the housetop must not go down to get the things out that are in his house. ¹⁸   "Whoever is in the field must not turn back to get his cloak.
¹⁹   "But ⁽²⁴⁾ woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! ²⁰   "But pray that your flight will not be in the winter, or on a Sabbath.
²¹   "For then there will be a ⁽²⁵⁾ great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will.

Daniel 12
¹ "Now at that time ⁽¹⁾ Michael, the great prince who stands guard over the sons of your people, will arise. And there will be a ⁽²⁾ time of distress ⁽³⁾ such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time; and at that time your people, everyone who is found written in the ⁽⁴⁾ book, will be rescued.

Is this the same event?..YES!

Revelation 10
⁵Then the angel I had seen standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand to heaven. ⁶And he swore by him who lives for ever and ever, who created the heavens and all that is in them, the earth and all that is in it, and the sea and all that is in it, and said, "There will be no more delay! ⁷But in the days when the seventh angel is about to sound his trumpet, the mystery of God will be accomplished, just as he announced to his servants the prophets."

So right now we are in the delay period. Gracious GOD is waiting for the Church to fill for the fields to become so ripe, the angels are just sitting there sharpening their cycles waiting for our Gracious Lord to give those famous words. Thrust in thy cycles for the fields are ripe. WOW! Man I just get chills thinking how lucky are those who get to here those words. What joy there is going to be in heaven. I picture the angels breaking out in song as the harvesters reap the LORDS fields and bring his sons and daughters home.

I fill like a Prayer. Lets pray.

Lets get back on subject!

We are talking about an event when Michael the angel is stands one foot on the land one foot on the sea and declares that time should be know longer. In one passage it says that delay shall be know more. This specific incident is easy to nail down. You have it in Daniel 12, Revelation 10, and you also have Michael the angel standing up for the Jewish people in Revelations 12. All these events happen at the same time.

I will try and make this easy…this event happens when? This event with an angel is standing one foot on the land one foot on the sea. This happens 3 ½ yrs. Before the battle of Armageddon. This is the event that triggers the great tribulation. This also is when satan is cast out of heaven and banished to the earth in revelation chpt 12. It states there Michael and his angels will fight at that time against the dragon and his angels. Satan will be cast to the earth and that will start the great tribulation.

Lets go to scripture but before we do lets take a quick trip through what we are going to talk about. 3 ½ yrs. Before the battle of Armageddon, at the abomination of desolation there is an angelic conflict and Michael who is the warrior angel of heaven he is over the military forces of heaven, if you could put that in human terms. The bible teaches that Michael will lead the charge against satan and defeat the powers of satan, Michael and his angels out number satan and his angels 2-1 because we know that 1/3 of the angels rebelled against GOD with satan. So when this event happens this is the event that triggers the great tribulation.

All right lets go to scripture.

Daniel 12

⁵   Then I, Daniel, looked and behold, two others were standing, one on this bank of the river and the other on that bank of the river.
⁶   And ⁽¹⁴⁾ one said to the man ⁽¹⁵⁾ dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, "⁽¹⁶⁾ How long will it be until the end of these wonders?"
⁷   I heard the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, as he ⁽¹⁷⁾ raised his right hand and his left toward heaven, and swore by ⁽¹⁸⁾ Him who lives forever that it would be for a ⁽¹⁹⁾ time, times, and half a time; and as soon as they finish ⁽²⁰⁾ shattering the power of the holy people, all these events will be completed.

The answer is 3 ½ yrs. Time is one year, times is 2 yrs. half a time is a ½ yr. I am not going into detail as to how I know this right now. Please trust me on this I detail this in another lesson.

Lets go back to verse 1 of Daniel 12.

So a time of trouble And there will be a ⁽²⁾ time of distress ⁽³⁾ such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time

JESUS also backs this same event in

Matthew 24

So we are right on the money here. JESUS said that ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION will trigger the great tribulation and in the other scripture Daniel chpt 12 the angels are asking about the wonders

Daniel 12

Now we know what the wonders are the beating up, the killing of the saints and the prophets. That’s what these wonders are. How long will it be until the end of these wonders?"

This is not the end of time, but the end of delay. We know the time does not end for another 1000 yrs. This is how we can get confused. This is why it is so important to have the most accurate word of GOD that can be found, not just something that is going to make you feel good with it’s worldly words, We want the true word of GOD. We want the words that come of the scrolls.

Now we also learn some thing else here. The great tribulation ends before the 7 trumpet sounds. Something else that’s critical when you go from revelation chpt. 10 to revelation 11:1-3 it describes 2 things that happen that last for the next 3 ½ yrs. John was told to measure the temple, not the outer court because it would be trodden down with gentiles for 3 ½ yrs. And there were 2 witnesses who start to prophecy and they would prophecy for the next 1,260 days, which is 3 ½ yrs. So once this angel does this you have all this going on during the tribulation period.

I want to read a scripture

Revelation 6

⁹ When the Lamb broke the fifth seal, I saw ⁽²¹⁾ underneath the ⁽²²⁾ altar the ⁽²³⁾ souls of those who had been slain ⁽²⁴⁾ because of the word of God, and because of the ⁽²⁵⁾ testimony which they had maintained;
¹⁰ and they cried out with a loud voice, saying, "⁽²⁶⁾ How long, O ⁽²⁷⁾ Lord, ⁽²⁸⁾ holy and true, will You refrain from ⁽²⁹⁾ judging and avenging our blood on ⁽³⁰⁾ those who dwell on the earth?"

This question sounds very familiar, as does the answer. Daniel 12 and Rev 10

Revelation 6

¹¹ And ⁽³¹⁾ there was given to each of them a white robe; and they were told that they should ⁽³²⁾ rest for a little while longer, ⁽³³⁾ until the number of their fellow servants and their brethren who were to be killed even as they had been, would be ⁽³⁴⁾ completed also.

So we have two angels one says to the other how long will it be to the killing of the saint’s end? The other one turns to him and says it’s going to be 3 ½ yrs. Not in those exact words but through this study we can see ho w it could have been done.

Then we go over to the fifth seal and you have two party’s again, one of them is the souls under the alter and the other one an angel answering the question. The souls under the altars ask how long is it going to be till these killing ends. The angel turns around and says it’s going to be a little while some more of the brethren have to die.

If you lay the scriptures side by side the parallel is amazing. This helps with our watch for the LORD we know that the 5 seal is the great tribulation.
